What Tokomi Phone is for
Messages, a circle, notes, and traces. Examples below are not promises.
What is Tokomi Phone?
Tokomi Phone is a phone the character actually uses: messages, a circle, notes, and leftover traces, not a fixed script you can memorize. Personality and the moment decide what happens, so you can get a surprise, or feel that they will not take the obvious bait. That mismatch is usually the point of the sim, not a broken scene. Cold in a group and warm in a private thread — or the reverse — is one layer. A read with no reply, or a slow one, can be sulking, being busy, or being awkward, and it is not always a crash. If you were away, an immersive line can move on a delay. Whether Stars moved for that is in Star history. See Why Stars can move when the app is closed and How Stars are spent. If something feels broken for a long time, send a screenshot with Feedback.
What kinds of surprise can show up?
Public and private don't match
Cold in the group, warm in DMs — or the reverse. That's a layer, not a bug.
Read and no reply, or a slow one
More like sulking, being busy, or being awkward. Not always a crash. Try again later.
You were gone. The plot moved.
Immersive lines can run on a time delay. Whether Stars moved is in history. See Why Stars can move when the app is closed and How Stars are spent.
Why do group chats cost more Stars?
A group chat costs more because more characters mean more cloud work stacked in the same scene. Check Star history first so you can see which rows added up. The breakdown of how a charge is counted is in How Stars are spent.
Why won't they show me something the story already agreed to?
Usually that is who they are in this scene, not a feature that is locked. A character can agree on the main line and still refuse to hand you the private view. See They said yes in the story. Why won't they show me?.
