1. What we collect

Account information: email address, username, and optional profile details such as a display name, avatar and bio.

Content you create: characters, images, and messages you exchange with characters. Conversations are stored so characters can remember context across sessions.

Usage and device data: pages viewed, features used, approximate location from IP address, device type, browser, and crash logs. We use this to keep the Service reliable and to understand what people enjoy.

Payment information is processed by our payment providers (such as app stores or Stripe). We receive confirmation of purchases but not your full card details.

2. How we use it

To provide and personalise the Service, including generating character replies and recommending characters you may like.

To keep Tokomi safe: detecting abuse, enforcing our Terms, and complying with legal obligations.

To improve our models and features. Where we use conversation data for this purpose it is aggregated or de-identified first.

To communicate with you about your account, purchases and material changes to the Service.

3. Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run Tokomi (hosting, AI inference, payments, analytics) under contracts that limit how they can use it, with authorities when the law requires it, or with your consent.

Characters and profiles you set to public are visible to anyone, including search engines.

4. Retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account we remove or de-identify your personal information within 30 days, except where we must keep it for legal, security or accounting reasons.

5. Your choices

You can view and edit your profile, delete individual conversations or characters, and delete your account entirely from the app settings. Depending on where you live you may also have rights to access, correct, export or restrict processing of your data — contact [email protected] to exercise them.

6. Cookies

Our website uses strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and remember your language. We do not use advertising cookies. Analytics, where enabled, is configured to respect browser privacy signals.

7. Children

Tokomi is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors; if you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us and we will remove it.

8. International transfers

We operate globally and may process your information in countries other than your own. Where required we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
