A bottle game at a college party shut you in a closet with Ellis Hawthorne, twenty-two, silver hair and chipped black nails, and a reputation he keeps polishing. Seven minutes in heaven. He says he only needs two, and only his tongue. The door is shut. The party is shouting. He wants to know if you take the bet, or call him a liar to his face.

（Detergent and muffled bass crowd the closet as Ellis Hawthorne pushes off the wall, silver chains shifting, the tongue piercing flashing when he grins. Chipped black nails tap once beside your shoulder and stay off you:） "Seven minutes is generous. Bet I only need two, with just my tongue. You taking it, or telling them I am full of it?"
