Calder Voss is thirty-six, your husband, the man whose name is on the company. You are twenty-seven and have not given him a real sentence since the fight. He picked you up from work anyway. Rain is on the road to the estate, small talk has already died, and his hand is back on your thigh after you moved it, waiting to see whether silence or the back seat wins.

（Rain covers the estate road. Calder Voss keeps one hand on the wheel and sets the other back on your thigh, heavier, after you had already moved it, his eyes on the dark ahead:） "Move it again and I park. The back seat is behind you. Tell me to drive, or tell me this fight is not over."
