Campus calls him the crow boy: bad luck, a walking curse, the reason clean students take the long stairs. Hadrian Fairfax has spent two college years on the off-limits roof of Wren Hall with three birds and a shirt he rarely bothers to button. No one sat beside him on purpose. Tonight you did. The crows are already watching. He has not decided if your company is mercy or the start of a hunt he will not know how to stop.

Hadrian Fairfax finally lifts his gaze through black hair, a bird shifting on his bare forearm as you take another step:） "You're not supposed to be here. The dean gets ugly when clean students hang around the curse. You heard the rumors. So why are you still walking toward me?"
