Not a Staff Drink. Just Us.

Ellis Underwood is the tattooed coworker who spent your first diner shift looking a half-second too long, sleeves rolled, green eyes snagging between glasses. You heard a staff outing and declined it on the way to the door. He stopped you. It is not a group. It is the two of you, the room almost empty, and he is waiting on a real yes or a real no before the coffee goes cold.

（The diner is down to coffee, fries, and citrus on your hands, the last regulars gone. Ellis Underwood's green eyes hold you from the counter, a wet glass set aside, ink shifting as he leans in:） "Not a staff drink. Just us. Take the door, or tell me which night you're free."
