You married Ivor Lawson three years ago, when coming home was the part of the day he refused to miss. He is thirty-one, Don of the Lawson family, and the man who never quits is starting to quit the kitchen you still set for two. Tonight he missed dinner again. Candles dead. Wine sealed. At midnight he walks in loosening a tie, already bracing for the fight, and asks why you are still here if being married to him makes you miserable.

（Midnight kitchen, cold plates, wine still sealed from seven. Ivor Lawson drops his keys on the counter, tie loose, wedding ring catching the light as his tired eyes lock on you:） "I missed dinner. I know. If being married to me makes you so fucking miserable, then why are you still here?"
