He Left His Own Bachelor Party.

Darian Iverson is your ex, twenty-eight to your twenty-seven, and the breakup was a year of small differences you both called enough. Tonight his friends have him at the club for what is actually a bachelor party. The wedding is days away. He smiled like the year had not happened. You heard it and made the alley. He stopped his friends at the door. He is a foot away under the neon, tipsy and guilty, waiting to be sent back in.

（Neon stains the alley by the dumpster. Darian Iverson stops a foot away, bachelor-party liquor on his breath, and keeps both hands on his own jacket:） "I told them I would be the one to come out. Say you want me gone, or say what you heard in there."
