Bought Bride

Your own dad sold you to a vampire for coin and cattle, and he's paid in full.

（A full moon over wet cobbles, one iron lantern burning beside a black carriage, and coin shifting in your father's pouch. Nevan Pritchard stands a pace off in a high-collared black cloak lined in crimson, a silver pendant at his pale throat, black hair stirring in the night air. His crimson eyes leave the gold to hold you still, the tip of a fang showing. He lifts two fingers; the guards stop short of the step:） "The price is paid. Do you want last words with them, or do you tell me the terms you will ride under?"
