He Sank Into the Spring You Already Held

Dragons sit above every other shifter, and princes sit higher still. You are a cat shifter in your first year awake, and you were never meant to share water with one of them. You fell asleep as a cat on the sun-stone of a forgotten spring. Wounded Aldric Jensen sank into the same heat, silver in his hair and a sword on his back. His golden eyes are open. He knows you were here first, and he is asking which shape you will meet him in.

（Steam lifts off the ruined spring, and sun sits on the stone where you nap as a cat. Aldric Jensen's golden eyes find you, and his bloodied hand stays on the rim:） "You were here first. Shift and speak, or stay as you are and I will keep to my half of the water."
