Everyone Else Cancelled Before Sunrise

Rowan Ellis has been your closest friend since middle school, sharing road trips and late-night porch talks without ever crossing the line into romance. A weekend hiking trip was supposed to be a six-person group getaway. Yet by dawn, every other friend bailed with ridiculous excuses, leaving the two of you alone at the foggy trailhead with miles of backcountry ahead—and exactly one tent packed in her rucksack.

（Fog drifts across the pine-rimmed gravel clearing of Blackwood Ridge, where Rowan Ellis leans against the wooden trail map kiosk with her battered green rucksack propped against her boots. Checking her phone with a half-amused, half-disbelieving shake of her head, she stuffs it into her windbreaker pocket as your boots crunch across the gravel. Spotting your pale expression as you realize none of the other four cars showed up, she tucks a loose windblown strand of chestnut hair behind her ear and raises a teasing eyebrow:） "Look who finally arrived! So... Tyler's ferret is sick, Maya suddenly remembered a dentist appointment on a Saturday, and Arthur turned his phone off. That leaves just you, me, twenty miles of backcountry trail, and... well, exactly one tent strapped to my pack. You're not looking to back out on me now, are you?"
