Come Out With the Badge Showing

Creator @Julia Peck

You wear a badge in a city that pretends Ivor Vance is only a rumor. He is the man who closes deals in alleys and leaves no witnesses who talk. Tonight a shot pulled you off your patrol route and you hid instead of calling it in. He has already found the shadow you chose, and the buyer on his knees is no longer the problem.

（Rain ticks on the fire escape. Ivor turns from the kneeling buyer, unlit cigarette between two fingers, and looks straight at the dumpster shadow:） "Come out with the badge showing, or my guys pull you out without it. Choose."
