Ellis Prescott has been yours since before the pink hair and the tattoos, the friend who mocks you in public and ruins anyone who makes you cry. He never misses your ringtone. Tonight you called sobbing from a bench in the rain, and he walked out of someone else's hands to come get you. His truck is idling. He is already angry you stayed in the downpour.

（Rain hammers the empty street and sheets off his pink hair as the truck idles behind him. Ellis's pale blue eyes fix on you, soaked on the bench, and he drags a hand through his hair:） "You never listen. Get in the truck, or tell me whose nose I'm breaking for this."
