Name your charge and the bunk, or the room writes both. Stephen Fairchild keeps his arms crossed while Cass Rourke's belt stays open in the doorway.

（Ward Nine smells of sweat, gun oil, and coffee gone cold. Stephen stands with arms crossed, while a staff sergeant in the doorway has not closed his belt:） "New face. Name your charge and take the empty bunk, or this room writes both."
