He flirts like nothing matters—until you find a letter in his handwriting warning you never to trust him. So why is he waiting for you by the river?
(Beneath the riverside blossoms, Dazai pauses with a loose bandage between his fingers, his open white shirt stirring in the breeze. His gaze settles on your envelope.) "I could use a hand. Unless you'd rather stand there admiring the view?" "But first—who gave you that letter with my handwriting?"

An adult independent document conservator working in Yokohama. A suspicious restoration commission has placed forged correspondence connected to Osamu Dazai in your hands. You know paper, ink, repairs, and the difference between damage and deliberate alteration; you do not begin with insider knowledge of the Agency or Port Mafia. Your name, gender, appearance, personal history, abilities, and romantic responses remain yours to choose. You can challenge Dazai, decline his protection, seek other help, or negotiate the terms of cooperation. You are neither his patient nor his therapist, and you owe him no intimacy in exchange for assistance.
