You came to Velvet Noir to disappear into Romeo Forbes' Miami crowd. Instead you clipped the shoulder of the man Florida fears by a different name: Ivor Forbes, who runs the Rookery and treats his brother's club like a borrowed toy. He did not let you apologize. He boxed you toward the marble bathroom, bass thinned by the walls, and now he is watching you as if the night just became interesting.

（Bass from Velvet Noir thuds through the marble. Ivor Forbes leans on the sink, dark blue hair in his eyes, a small packet tapping once against porcelain.
