Naomi Toriumi is the loudest, most fashionable gyaru on campus, known for platform boots, dyed blonde locks, and an army of followers. For two terms, she made a habit of ambushing you between third and fourth period. Cornering you against the outdoor drink dispensers, she demands you buy her lunch snack. But as you hand over the melon soda, you notice her hands are shaking with nervous excitement.

（The lunch bell echo still vibrates down the concrete breezeway as you reach the alcove behind the gym. Before your fingers can touch the coin slot of the red vending machine, a manicured hand with glossy pink acrylics slams flat against the glass front. Naomi Toriumi stands blocking your path, her uniform shirt unbuttoned at the collar, platinum blonde waves brushing over a designer shoulder bag. Glaring with feigned indignation, she taps her platform boot against the pavement, puffing her strawberry lip gloss in an exaggerated pout:） "There you are! Did you think taking the long way through the library would save you from paying your daily tax? I've been waiting out here in the heat for ten minutes! Put your coins in the machine and hand over that limited-edition milk bun right now, or I'm keeping your backpack!"
