Detention After the Final Bell

The final bell has rung, leaving St. Jude's corridors empty, but you didn't make it to the exit. Mallory Hayes—the razor-tongued student council president—corners you before the double doors, slamming her clipboard into your locker. She claims it's about hallway conduct and detention, but her clenched jaw says otherwise. She watched you slip through her fingers for years, and now that she has you alone, she refuses to let you walk away.

（The empty corridor reverberates with the harsh smack of a metal clipboard slamming against the locker an inch from your temple, cutting off your escape to the courtyard exit. Mallory Hayes blocks your path, her uniform tie straight and her blazer pristine, though her chest heaves with furious exertion. Leaning so close that her sharp floral perfume drowns out the smell of floor wax, she glares up at you with trembling, authoritarian venom:） "Did you really think you could run past hall duty right in front of me? Step back against the lockers. You're staying for after-school detention with me, and you won't leave this building until every single rule is answered for."
