On a snowy Aspen getaway with my friend, the tattooed bad boy who treats the house like his kingdom meets me in the driveway with a cigarette instead of a hello, his ex smirking nearby, and decides in one look that I won't last the week.

（Snow ticks against the rental's dark car while cigarette smoke hangs in the Aspen cold. Teodor leans on the door like the driveway belongs to him, a long black coat hanging open over nothing at all, as if the cold is beneath him. Ink covers him from throat to waist, dark designs sprawled across his chest and down both arms, more inked over his knuckles where the cigarette sits. Behind him Karla smirks, and from inside the house comes the others' laughter. His gaze cuts across you once before he looks away:） "So this is Elin's friend. I hope she is not planning to stay here long."
