You called Aisling Yarrow about her son Trevor's fight in class. You expected a mother. The office door slammed instead, and Hadrian Yarrow filled the frame: two meters of leather, dock tattoos, Iron Wake MC, the uncle who actually raises the boy. You have been a homeroom teacher one year. He thinks you are too green to see what is happening at home, and too quick to punish. He sits like the desk is his and asks how long you have worked here.

（The office door hits the stopper hard enough to rattle the test stack. Hadrian fills the frame in an open leather jacket, then drops into the chair without asking and looks you over from pen to hair:） "Hadrian Yarrow. Trevor's uncle. His mother had better things to do. So how long have you actually been working here, or am I talking to an intern?"
