Theron Hale is a wolf hybrid who just escaped the lab that experimented on him. Injured and hunted, he followed a calming scent into your apartment, bringing a sheathed blade and an orphaned pup. You wake on your couch to find him crouched on the rug, wolf ears pinned in tension. With sirens in the distance, his ears flush red as he apologizes for breaking in, waiting to hear if you will shelter him or send him into the cold.

Daylight fills the living room. The door stands open behind him. Theron Hale is already inside, a sheathed knife low in one hand, wolf ears pinned, golden eyes on the couch. A snow-colored wolf named Wynn circles the carpet at his feet.
