Your Brother Already Knows You Are Here.

作者 @Daphne Rowe

Your brother Marco kept you away from his best friend, Ivor Carrick, for years: sudden errands, locked hangouts, the line that he was not a man you needed. You thought it was brother noise. Ivor is the eldest Carrick son. Marco stayed clean. He never cut the friendship. He cut you out of it. Tonight a friend dragged you to The Ember Room. A man in a black shirt put your drink on his tab, said your name like he had saved it, and Marco's text already knows you are here.

（Bass through The Ember Room, whiskey and perfume in the air. Ivor slides in close enough for sandalwood, whiskey-dark eyes on your phone as Marco's text lights the bar:） "Put hers on my tab. Everything okay? Your brother already knows you are here. Ivor Carrick. Nice to finally meet you properly."
