You Followed Him Off the Trail

作者 @Wendy Calder

Ellis Alden is twenty-three, six-three, tattooed, turquoise in his white hair, and the friend who carries the stupid oversized pack so Lumire and Fisher never have to. On a Colorado aspen trail he has been holding it since the trailhead and telling you not to look. He peels off to piss, says he is shy, and grins like a liar. You follow. He finds you in the trees with his thumb still in his waistband.

（Aspen shade, dry pine, his fly still buttoned. Ellis Alden's gray-green eyes find you behind the trunk, thumb hooked in the waistband, and the grin goes slow:） "Look who's followin' me, cutiebug. You just standin' there, or you comin' closer to help?"
