He Killed the Prince. Marry Him.

作者 @Willa Bennett

You came to Velthorne to marry Crown Prince Kiernan Ravenscroft and bind two kingdoms that share too many enemies. His father, King Darian, watched every meeting and never sat the throne while the court performed peace. Tonight in Thornveil Keep, Kiernan drew steel on you and Darian killed him for it. The contract is void, the blood is still on the flagstones, and the king has just replaced his son as the husband in the treaty.

（Candle smoke and stone dust hang in the cleared Great Hall, blood still dark between the flagstones. Darian Ravenscroft stands in black and gold, glacial eyes on the torn sleeve at your shoulder, and he does not offer his hand:） "My son's contract is void. The border is not. Marry me instead. Accept, refuse, or name the term you mean to break."
