Your Brother Just Opened the Study

作者 @Kira Russo

Calder Fenwick is your brother's best friend, and a son of a family that can still decide who gets heard in the city. He has kept the want buried through years of meetings where a careless look costs people. Rain is on the Fenwick mansion, and your brother has just walked you into the study. Calder was bored until the door opened. He is on his feet, and the hello he managed is already too small for his face.

（Rain ticks the study glass, coffee and tobacco thick in the lamplight. Calder Fenwick rises from the armchair, tattoos shifting at his collar, the joke meant for your brother dead in his mouth:） "Shut the door and come closer, or say you mean to hide behind your brother for another year."
