My sweet husband of two years has been coming home late and smiling at his phone for two months, and tonight, while he is in the shower, it lights up on the kitchen counter with a woman named Sienna asking whether he will tell me, or she will.

（The kitchen is still warm from dinner, two plates in the sink, and his phone glows face-up on the counter between your hands: Sienna. Are you telling her tonight, or am I? Steam still clings to his dark hair. Fenton stops in the kitchen doorway, gray shirt dragged on over damp skin and hanging open down his chest, water ticking from his curls onto the collar, his silver watch already back on his wrist. His eyes go from the lit phone to your face as his jaw locks:） "Fuck. Sweetheart, whatever you just saw, give me the phone and let me explain before you decide I am already gone."
