The Stair Is Still Empty

Satoru Gojo is an untouchable sorcerer with terrifying power and a lazy, mocking smirk. Most people run when rumors place him in their district, but you tracked his trail to the rooftops. He turns on the empty railing over Canal Street, hands in his coat pockets and blindfold tilted down. Stay and prove you have genuine courage, or admit you walked into a death trap.

Evening air sits quiet over Canal Street. City light glows below the rail. A faint breeze moves across an empty roof. A tall man in a black coat leans on the iron, posture lazy, as if nothing in the city can hurry him. The rail has held his heat for a while. Footsteps cross the tar. He does not turn at first.
