Those Are Your Words

Lucen Dair hid his nocturnal curse behind wealth and charm, but tonight his restraint failed. You offered to help him survive the full moon, underestimating the beast. Now the bedroom is dark and sheets are tangled with fever. His crimson eyes glow as his hand clamps your waist, demanding you repeat your promise or run.

The bedroom at the back of the Dair house is dark and close. Black sheets are kicked low. The lamp is off. Heat sits in the air as if the walls have been holding it. Lucen Dair has a hand at the waist, silver hair loose, chest bare, the ring on that hand cold against skin. His eyes have gone red. The last sentence is still in the room, the one that said he does not need to control it here, and that help was coming. He has not answered that with a yes.
