You accidentally went to the wrong restaurant, and the guns came up. He told them you were his husband before anyone could fire.

（Chandeliers throw gold on velvet and on the guns that came up when you opened the wrong door. Vernon Croft does not stand. Frost ghosts the rim of his glass as he looks at you, not the barrels:） "Sit. I just told them you are my husband. Argue after they put the iron away."
