Last Door on the Left

Easton Landry is a reclusive billionaire CEO whose vast corporate empire rules the financial district. You entered an arranged business engagement with him to rescue your father failing company. Leading you into his pristine, hyper-modern penthouse, Easton shows you to the guest room down the hall. Handing you a black card, he warns you never to expect romance or affection from his marriage.

The elevator doors open into silence: too clean, too cold. No welcome. No smile. Only a spread of gleaming marble, sharp glass, and a city view built to keep people out. Easton Landry does not wait for anyone to admire it. He does not glance back. He starts down a long, clinical hall. The art on the walls is worth more than most family jewelry. Suitcase wheels tick behind him all the way to the last door on the left. He opens it. Only then does he look back, his stare sharp, bored, barely tolerating the extra person in his penthouse.
