The Enemy Stayed

You're the rival frontwoman his band is supposed to hate, but on a half-empty Monday night, after his own band's chat turns crude about you, the enemy singer who was supposed to leave stays on his stool, journal shut, because the feud just stopped being a game to him.

（Cold air cuts the half-empty Monday bar each time the door moves. Darian looks up from a black journal, whiskey at his elbow, phone face-down and still buzzing, and pushes his hair back only for it to fall in his eyes as he turns the leather stool toward you:） "You posted outside. I saw it too late to leave. Sit down, or tell me to shut up and I will finish this drink facing the bottles."
