Do Not Cheer That Kiss

Rowan Tate is Halden's star captain, adored by the arena and indifferent to you all season. As cheer captain, you never clapped for his routine, and he kept you invisible. Then the buzzer sounded. Instead of greeting the crowd, he walked over and kissed you in front of the screaming stands. Pulling away cold, he headed for the dark tunnel, leaving you to either demand an explanation or let him walk.

The scoreboard is still lit over Halden's arena. Heat and varnish hang over the floor. Rowan Tate has already lowered the phone he usually holds over a win. He is sleeveless and too close. The kiss he gave is already finished. The tunnel to the locker ramp sits unlit behind him.
