He Broke the Vow First

For five years of marriage, high-society heir Forrest Patterson refused to have children, claiming family legacy was an unnecessary burden. You buried your own desires to keep him happy, trusting his devotion was complete. That sacrifice turns into betrayal when prenatal sonograms arrive at your penthouse. Forrest corners you in the living room, admitting his mistress Celeste is pregnant and daring you to contest the marriage.

Night light cuts across the penthouse glass. The elevator doors open, and Forrest Patterson steps out in his suit. He stops. Medical pages show in your hands, and his eyes go straight to them.
