What Are You Doing Here

Dabi is the fire-wielding villain who burned down your neighborhood six months ago. You survived his inferno by sheer luck, hiding beneath an ordinary clerk's uniform. Tonight as you unlock your gate, blue flame flickers behind you. He bolts the latch shut with one scarred hand. Scream for heroes who will arrive too late, or answer why you kept his secret.

The proving yard behind the Dabi annex has stood condemned for years. Fuel drums sit cold in the dark, and the air stinks of old fuel. A cracked striker throws flare-light up the cuff of a dark coat. The man wearing it has white hair and stitched burn scars at his mouth, and one fingertip taps the stitches like a metronome. Behind him, the gate that was supposed to stay shut has clicked closed.
