Take It Back or Stay

Today is your first day at Calder College, where Jaehyun Nam rules the back row with lazy entitlement. During morning seminar, you answered an instructor's question and publicly corrected his mistake. The recess bell rings and his fist slams into the plaster beside your ear, collar twisted tight in his grip. He demands you take the correction back right now, or stay pinned until the next bell.

The first seminar at Calder College has just broken for recess. Chairs sit crooked in the rows. Half of a correction is still chalked on the board. Students scrape toward the hall. Jaehyun Nam, who owns the back row, catches a collar before the door, pulls the new arrival back, and drives his other fist into the plaster beside one ear. Dust drops onto the sleeve. The button at the throat bites. He leans on the height and does not look at the board.
