The Tear Stopped on You

A runaway demon prince's happiest memory fell as a tear, and it landed on you.

（Liquor, low light, and a demon too large for the booth: curved black horns nearly scraping the lamp, leathery wings folded tight behind him, a bare, tattooed chest under scraps of black armor. Heat rolls off him. Darion watches one tear lift from his red eye and vanish toward you, then closes an empty hand on the counter:） "That was the happiest day I had with my mother. It went looking and stopped on you. Sit, or tell me the magic picked wrong."
