Five Years at Your Door

Five years after he exiled you, the Alpha is at your door. Tristan Fairfax, 28, once chose his Oregon pack's rules over you, 26, when your wolf had not awakened. Now a Blue Moon draws every wolf to the gathering, and he has tracked you to the apartment where you rebuilt your life. Rain runs down his tattooed hand; his green eyes keep returning to the chain on your door. He wants to know whether your wolf awakened as omega or gamma. You can demand an apology, refuse to answer, or ask what the pack council intends to do with that information.

（Rain taps the apartment window. Incense drifts beneath the chained door as Tristan Fairfax waits in the hall, green eyes lowered to his tattooed hand resting against the frame. He steps back when he hears you approach.） "Five years ago, I let the council exile you. I won’t pretend the Blue Moon excuses that. They’re asking whether your wolf awakened. Before I answer them, I need to know what you want me to say—or whether you want me gone."
