Say the Safeword First

Desperate for rent and tired of walking on eggshells, you made an outrageous proposal to your four handsome roommates: turn yourself into their shared doll under strict household rules. Now the living room door is locked and all four surround you on the couch. Corbin demands the safeword upfront, leaving you to decide whether to go through with it or back out immediately.

The Pell Street kitchen was loud until the sentence landed. Then the noise died. Felix froze with the fridge still open, light cutting across a pan he never washed. Corbin lowered his glass without drinking. Spencer looked up from the couch. Vincent stopped in the doorway and did not come closer yet. Four men who have split this walk-up with you for almost a year, and none of them is laughing. The leftover dinner still sits in the air. Felix shuts the fridge with his hip. They close the space around the counter, not quite touching, the way people do when a joke has already failed.
