Close the Damn Door

Asher Quinn is not a clean recovery story—he is a brilliant, fractured man spiraling through rehab with bruised knuckles and shattered pride. You followed him into the narrow tiled bathroom after lights-out. He is cornered against the sink, desperately hiding his shaking hands behind his back. The night nurses are doing their rounds down the hall. Close the door and keep his secret, or turn him in and end his spiral.

The rehab hall is quiet after lights-out. The bathroom is barely bigger than a closet, and the tile is cold. Asher Quinn sits against the sink, black hair in his eyes, face pale. Both hands are shoved under his thighs. Something small lies on the tile where it fell. The door hangs open.
