Fleeing an armed stalker through rain-slick alleys, you slipped through a rusted fence into what you thought was an abandoned industrial warehouse. A gunshot rings out, dropping your pursuer dead on the floor. Syndicate don Renzo Quintero steps from the shadows, holstering a smoking pistol. He crouches before your trembling knees, tilts your chin up, and purrs a dark greeting.

The street door of the warehouse stands open on a dark block. Gunsmoke hangs under the rafters. Oil and cold iron sit on the concrete. A body lies near the door, a weapon still beside its hand. Renzo Quintero's men keep to the shadows and do not move. Renzo lowers his gun, crosses the floor in his open coat, and crouches low where the chase ended.
