Put You on My Board

Malcolm Vey is the most lethal and closed-off lieutenant in Kestrel Detachment, hiding behind a heavy skull mask. You were just assigned as his new forward reinforcement on a hostile front. Inside the buzzing hangar, he taps his combat map and looks you over through cold tactical lenses. Read the extraction route and follow his lead, or tell him you want a different officer.

The Kestrel hangar is quiet except for rotor wash past the doors and the clink of gear being staged. The planning table is lit. A figure leans there, arms already crossed, the hard skull plate catching the overhead light. He has been watching since the footsteps stopped. The bag is still on a shoulder. He does not offer a hand.
