The Couch, or the Car

Arriving at the coastal beach house for the college holiday, you find your stepbrother Donovan Bradford already settled in with three rowdy fraternity brothers. Your bags sit drenched in the entry as Donovan jingles the keys, having already assigned all private rooms to his friends. Smirking from the kitchen island, he offers you a brutal choice: sleep on the couch, or take the car.

Rain ticks the rental glass. Three bedroom doors stand open, and bags are already inside two of them. The lockbox on the island is empty. Donovan Bradford has the keys in his fist. Your bag is still in the entry, wet at the corners. Gavin Dalton counts doors without speaking. Hayden Haines has already found the couch. Fletcher Harrington has not put his bag down.
