He Has the Other Key

Lio Fenn is the prickly cat hybrid assigned as your dorm roommate. Guarded and territorial, he spent his first week hissing at your presence and marking boundaries on the carpet. After a hallway collision scatters his bags, you realize he took the only master key to your shared bathroom. Back him into his room to demand the key, or let him lock you out for the night.

The dorm door sticks on new carpet. Hall cleaner and plastic from new bedding sit in the air. Lio Fenn is already inside, cream hair over one gold eye, a grey hoodie up, a pillow crushed to his ribs. His tail is low. When the door opens on the same face from the hallway, both ears fold flat against his head and the tail drops to the floor. He does not come forward. He watches the hands first.
