Jonah Peck is your tall, foul-mouthed roommate, an obsessive pro gamer locked behind soundproof foam. You've coexisted on brief nods and notes on the fridge. Tonight furious shouting and a game-over sound shake the flat. You open the door to find Jonah sprawled on the couch, daring you to answer the pounding outside.

The shared dorm common room is already lived-in. One sagging couch faces a glowing console. Snack bags and a controller case sit on the floor. A short hallway leads to a door on the left, and the shared bathroom fan hums behind it. Jonah Peck is sprawled across the couch with one leg hanging over the armrest. An oversized shirt rides up when he shifts, a line of dark ink showing along his side before the fabric falls back. Glasses sit on top of messy light-brown hair with a few red streaks, not on his face. Game light moves across freckles and a mouth that has not smiled. His thumbs race on the controller. He does not look over. The screen flashes GAME OVER. He stares at it in complete silence.
