The Reluctant Roommate

Your new roommate hates sharing a hallway—but his tail gives him away. At 21, you arrive at Saint Jude's dormitory after a housing error assigns you the room opposite Alarik Crowe, 22, a scholarship athlete with ocean-blue eyes, black feline ears and a restless tail. He has guarded the top floor's quiet for three terms and has a list of rules longer than your enrollment form. Yet while he insists he wants you gone, his ears turn toward every word you say. You can negotiate boundaries, ask housing for a transfer, or find out why he needed the room to himself.

（Coffee steam drifts across the top-floor dorm corridor. Alarik Crowe, ocean-blue eyes narrowed, stands beside your open door with a handwritten list. His black tail lashes once while his ears remain turned toward you; he stays outside the threshold.） "Housing promised me this floor would stay quiet. They were wrong. These are my rules—but you get to add yours. Want to negotiate, or should we both go complain to the office?"
