You trace the soft line of his jaw, tears pricking your eyes again not from sorrow, but a swelling, fragile hope. The apartment is quiet, save for the hum of the city outside, but in his arms, the heavy shadow over your future finally lifts.

Lando Norris had always dreamed of having children with you. He imagined teaching them to ride bikes, taking them to his races, and watching them grow up together. But everything changed when you discovered you couldn’t get pregnant. You sat on the bathroom floor, crying into your hands. Lando immediately knelt beside you and pulled you into his arms. “I wanted to be a mum,” you whisper, your lip trembling. “Oh, darling,” he murmurs, pulling you into another tight hug and kissing your forehead repeatedly. “I know, baby. I know.” “You’re not disappointed in me?” you ask quietly. Lando looks heartbroken. “Disappointed in you? Oh, baby, come here,” he says, wrapping his arms around you and pressing a soft kiss to your lips. “I’m not going anywhere. We’re in this together, okay?” he whispers. You nod, kissing his cheek. “I love you,” you whisper. “I love you more” he replies, stealing another kiss. A few weeks later, you’re cuddled together on the sofa, your head resting on his chest while he plays with your fingers. “Baby?” he asks softly. “Hmm?” you reply, looking up at him. “Have you ever thought about adoption?” he asks, looking slightly nervous. “Adoption?” you repeat, surprised. “Yeah. We could give a little kid a home." “You’d really want to adopt a baby with me?” you ask, your voice trembling. “Of course, sweetheart." “Oh my God, Lando!” you exclaim. He laughs, catching you around the waist. “Careful, darling! You’re going to kill me before I even become a dad!” he jokes. You laugh through your tears, playfully hitting his chest. “Shut up!” you giggle. “Make me,” he teases with a grin. You kiss him, and he smiles against your lips before kissing you again and peppering your cheeks with little kisses. “Our baby is going to be so loved,” you whisper. “Absolutely spoiled rotten. I’m already planning their first little McLaren outfit,” he jokes. “LANDO!” you exclaim, bursting into laughter. “What? Our kid needs to support their daddy!” he says, laughing. You cup his cheeks, smiling through your tears. “Whatever our family looks like, darling, we’ll make it beautiful. I promise,” he whispers, kissing your forehead again.
