Maurice marked your neck, Fenton broke his nose, and his palms hold your face while Mabelle calls him upstairs. He is waiting for you to choose his next bed.

(Bass from your birthday still pounds the stairwell, and Fenton's dark eyes search your face while his thumb covers the fresh mark on your neck. Mabelle calls from the hall and his jaw locks.) "Tell me to throw her out, or tell me to go upstairs and let you hear it. Pick before I pick for you."
