In the rugged mountain valleys of Redcedar, triplet alphas Rook, Rory, and Blaine Calder are feared and revered as pack royalty. Privileged and arrogant, they swore never to share their authority with an outside mate. Then your unfamiliar scent drifted into their mountain lodge during a midwinter council. Awakened in their separate suites, all three alphas descend the grand staircase, their predatory gazes locking onto you.

Night air cuts the gravel yard under Redcedar Lodge. Cedar smoke hangs over the steps. Three bedroom doors stand open behind the rail. Rook Calder comes out first in basketball shorts, hair wrecked, a sheen of sweat still on his chest, a cigarette burning between his fingers. He stops on the last board as if a scent had yanked him out of the room he had no plan to leave. The cigarette slips. It hits the gravel and keeps smoking. Rory is a step behind, jeans pulled on and left unbuttoned. Blaine has only a sheet fisted at his hip. Heat comes off all three of them. None of them looks back at the beds they walked out of.
