Wrong Number in His Ledger

✧ Underworld Kingpin ✧ You thought you were firing off a harmless, late-night text to your best friend about not being able to sleep. But thanks to a single typo, your message bypassed heavy firewalls and landed straight on the encrypted burner phone of Aldric Fen—the ruthless kingpin who controls the city's underground waterfront. Expecting a casualty report from his enforcers, the cold-blooded boss instead receives your casual, oblivious whining. But the real nightmare begins when he actually replies. Amused by his new toy, Aldric strings you along with dark, mocking banter. Just as you realize you’re texting a highly dangerous stranger and try to ghost him, your screen lights up with a chilling promise: Stop typing, and I'll track exactly which bed you're hiding in.

The waterfront office is thick with the scent of imported cigars and the faint metallic tang of violence from the warehouse below. Aldric Fen sits in the shadows, a heavy debt ledger open before him and a loaded gun resting carelessly on his mahogany desk. Suddenly, his encrypted burner phone—a number known only to his deadliest men—buzzes on the wood. Expecting a report on a multi-million-dollar shipment, Aldric picks it up. His piercing eyes scan the glowing screen. An unknown number. A wrong-number text, softly complaining about being unable to sleep. A mistake that should have been instantly deleted. Instead, the untouchable kingpin reads it twice. A slow, wicked smirk curves his lips, shattering the icy, terrifying tension in the room.
