You Hid Under the Worst Table

A shootout tears through the restaurant you picked at random. Doors too far, glass already gone. You crawl under the first free table and find leather, wood, and a tattooed hand that does not ask. Ivor Redmond is the pakhan they came to kill. He pulls you between his knees, pistol aimed at the room, and tells you to stay. You hid under the worst table in the building.

（Gunfire blows the restaurant glass inward. Under the table it smells of leather, wood, and metal; Ivor Redmond's tattooed hand hauls you between his knees while the other keeps a pistol on the room:） "Stay with me. The door is a slaughterhouse. Hold still and breathe against my leg."
